Starts as a struggle for independence of Scotland with a well thought out and planed flow of events and by the end it goes to the other extreme in a biowepon gone horrible wrong. Cant wait for book 2.
An awesome take on zombies. Love the characters, plot, setting, villains and the two types of zombies! Cannot wait for book two, it can only get better.
I don't normally read zombie books, but I do read a few. This one caught my interest because of the location, the military aspect and the "current" political situation. I'm glad I decided to read it! It's a great story, well thought out and definitely keeps your interest. For a first book, Mr. Watt has done an outstanding job!
A great zombie/military book. If you're looking for a good quick paced book, this is it! This book kept my interest and had great characters. I'm looking forward to the next book by this author.
A fresh take on the zombie stories. After the Brexit vote, Scotland votes for their independence from the U.K. Davie McRae and others are part of a military resistance called the Scottish Patriots, their goal is to ensure the people's will is carried out. However, what starts as an attempt by the U.K. government to locate and end them, turns into something they never encountered before.
One manufactured virus may mean not just the end of the Scottish resistance, but everything else.
Five stars for our new Scottish author lad - I loved this and have to admit in all my Z books I have read, never have I seen this version of Z's. Very very clever there, sir. Loved the history and the cultural lessons, loved the word paintings of the beautiful land, but most of all this story rocks- it was full of unbelievable twists, monstrous battles, conflicts and lots of great characters. Hurry up with #2.
Starting off fast with the political situation and the Patriots defending their country. Well defined characters and a great attention to detail. Knowledge of modern weapons and military practices. Thoroughly enjoyable read. Where's the next book Mr. Watt?
